BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — We knew the Patriots' prodigal son was returning, and now we know when: Tom Brady will come back to Gillette Stadium in October. The Pats will host the Buccaneers, with Brady and Rob Gronkowski in tow, in a prime-time game on October 3.
The Patriots released their schedule on Wednesday night. The other two primetime games on the Patriots' schedule are both away games, one in Atlanta, and the other in Buffalo.
The Pats will kick off the season with a home game against Miami. Some good matchups are spread throughout the season, with a Week 3 game at home against the Saints, a Week 10 home game against the Browns, and a Week 5 away matchup against the Texans.
They will have a Week 14 bye.
