BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Gov. Charlie Baker is maintaining that his administration has not done anything wrong in its handling of the RMV scandal.

On Tuesday, Transportation Committee chair Rep. William Strauss claims that the Baker Administration may have intentionally withheld several emails in the ongoing investigation into the RMV.

In response, Gov. Baker said his administration has been cooperating fully with the legislative investigation.

“We gave the committee a million documents and we gave Grant Thornton, for their review, about four million documents,” Baker said. “We continue to reach out to the committee, and if the committee wants documents they don’t believe that they’ve received from us, all they’ve got to do is ask.”

The Transportation Committee is looking into a backlog of out-of-state violations in the wake of the New Hampshire crash that killed seven motorcyclists.

Rep. Strauss claimed that he received documents from outside sources, and not from the Baker Administration, saying that this shows a lack of transparency.

Strauss also said this indicates the backlog of out-of-state violations was known to the governor’s office before the fatal New Hampshire crash.
