Brewery Puts Shelter Dogs on Beer Cans to Find Them Homes

A brewing company has totally let their cans go to the dogs – and that’s a good thing!

Motorworks Brewing in Bradenton, Florida is using its award-winning Cruiser Golden Lager to help local shelter dogs find their forever home. Each can now features a doggy-adorned label with a highlighted pet that you could make a part of your family.

As of Wednesday, the program had already lead to the adoption of two dogs. The program has been such a big success, that the brewery’s sales and marketing director says they may have to brew more beer to keep up. “The response from this project has been overwhelming. We have had countless calls and messages about the program and we are elated to have raised so much awareness (and money) for the Shelter already,” Barry Elwonger said.

In November, Fargo Brewing Company in North Dakota ran a similar campaign with a local rescue organization.
