About Woman Of The Week: Lujuana is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who owns and works at her group practice South Shore Child and Family Counseling in Braintree, MA. Her group practice consists of the best trained clinicians that provide compassionate and collaborative services tailored to each individual who walks through its doors.
Lujuana is graduate of Boston College with both a Bachelor of Arts (BA) and a Masters of Social Work (MSW). She has over 12 years of clinical experience in the mental health field and has worked in a number of settings with a diverse population of people including Department of Youth Services, Department of Mental Health, and Department of Correction. She has worked directly with children, adolescents, and adults focusing on issues of depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and trauma. Lujuana also is Adjunct Faculty At Fisher College and Boston College School of Social Work.
Through her work, she has developed a passion for working with diverse populations, particularly communities of color. Lujuana is the 2014 Community Partner of the Year Award recipient for the Norfolk County Juvenile Court. She also provides consultations and workshops with local community and school districts regarding issues affecting children, adolescents, and families.
