Some people who went into an abandoned Houston home to smoke marijuana found a caged tiger to their surprise instead.

They immediately called police and the major offender animal cruelty unit and animal shelter volunteers arrived on the scene. The tipsters told police they were at the house to smoke marijuana and thought they were hallucinating when they first saw the tiger. Authorities nicknamed the tiger "Tyson" after the movie "The Hangover."

Officials say the tiger was well fed, but the cage was secured by a nylon strap and screwdriver. Officials say it could easily open and the tiger could have gone on a "rampage."

The animal was in a tiny garage, completely dark, smelled like urine, deplorable conditions. The animal was calm and appeared to be in great shape besides being really thirsty. Animal shelter volunteers we were able to give it some water to help stay hydrated.

The tiger was taken to an animal shelter and according to the Houston Humane Society is now being transferred to Cleveland Amory Black Beauty Ranch in Murchison, Texas. It's a 1,400-acre ranch that already has 2 tigers among 800 other resident animals. The Humane Society said the tiger will be quarantined for at least two weeks before being released into its new home, a 5-acre wooded habitat complex.

Believe it or not, It's legal to own a tiger in Texas if the owner has a wild game permit. But it is illegal however to have a tiger in Houston, and i'm pretty sure the weed isn't legal either!
